Celebrate Pride at Grow Speke

Join us on 28 July at Grow Speke as we celebrate Pride and discuss the importance of equality and acceptance.

We will start the morning with a relaxing sound bath at 10am, followed by ‘an audience with Christian Owens’.

Christian is a motivational transgender speaker who uses his own personal journey of discovery to enlighten and inspire individuals and organisations. Christian enjoyed a successful 27-year career in the police service and was the first serving officer to transition in Merseyside Police before recently retiring from the force and starting his own company GenderSpace, which works with organisations, businesses and schools to improve their understanding of trans issues. 

Christian’s own personal, lived experiences as a gay trans male help audiences to understand, empathise and gain a greater understanding of the journey of transition.

After a Q&A with Christian, we can all enjoy lunch as we light the Grow Speke BBQ.
